Biographies
My name is Robert Clyde McNamara, owner and founder of Dream Makers Photography. My interest in photography is rooted in family history. My father was a camera buff and my grandfather was the director of the Photography at General Motors Institute. I learned a lot from my mentors.
An active member of the photography club in high school, I made pinhole cameras, built a darkroom in the basement, developed and enlarged many rolls of film for myself and my friends. My interest in photography continued in college where I worked in a darkroom. As a science teacher I was able to sustain my pursuit by founding a school photography club, take yearbook pictures, photograph school proms and in the summer, weddings and reunions.
Upon retiring from teaching I have been able to devote more time to my photography business. I have been joined by my wife Collette an avid gardener and photographer in her own right. Collette’s gardens have provided a beautiful location for many gorgeous portraits.
